Dialogue with environmental journalists shows potential of energy efficiency21.3.2011During the seminar organised for environmental journalists at the beginning of March, Cleantech Finland listed energy efficiency, forests, renewable energy, water, and intelligent cities as the competitive advantages of the future. The global cleantech markets amount to EUR 1.4 trillion. Cleantech Finland includes an estimated 2,000 cleantech companies, and currently the sector has growth expectations of 10%–30%. More than one third of the public research and development investments in Finland are made in the cleantech sector. Enersize Ltd. is a member company of Cleantech Finland. The customers can achieve annual savings of up to EUR 1.0 million with the Enersize service concept that helps industrial plants optimise the amount of energy required by compressed air. The company's expertise has been noted both in Finland and elsewhere in Europe, as well as in China, where energy consumption is increasing rapidly. Enersize has a good starting point to provide high-quality services and processes which prevent or reduce the negative environmental effects of business operations in, for example, the wood processing sector, the chemical industry and the energy industry. “Our goal for the operating year 2011 is to obtain 70% of our turnover from the Chinese markets, and 30% from Europe. In addition to Finland, the company has made its most significant launches on the European market in Slovakia,” says Tuomas Rouhikko, the CEO of Enersize Ltd.
